The Vessel Streaming project consists of two installations hosted in historic locations across La Rochelle, prompting reflection on humanity's attempt to tame nature. One installation, located at the Intermonde center, features a machine that creates paintings based on data collected from the second installation at the Tour de la Chaîne. This second site, the Tour de la Chaîne, houses hundreds of glasses filled with seawater. The water within these glasses forms waves, ephemerally capturing the movement of ships at sea. The work explores the physiological and social shifts that accompany the proliferation of private data online. For this installation, approximately 500 inverted glasses filled with water are arranged on a table, with sensors inside the glasses causing the water to react to the tides. For this project, the Zero1 Festival invited local residents to participate by organizing a large-scale collection of glasses at various drop-off points throughout La Rochelle.
