Inspired by medieval bestiaries and observations of our planet in the Anthropocene era, this video presents a variety of contemporary hybrid creatures and objects, gathered into a collection at the intersection of the animal, plant, mineral, and technological realms. An increasing portion of what we call "nature" is now artificialized. New specimens are emerging and coexisting with us, gradually redefining the very composition of our living environment. The Anthropocene Bestiary seeks to capture this pivotal moment where the biosphere and technosphere converge to form an unprecedented composite body. Part naturalistic observation, part cabinet of curiosities, and part attempt to classify the consequences of human activity, it paints a portrait of artificialization on a planetary scale.

DISNOVATION.ORG has been developing a practice at the intersection of contemporary art, research, and technical cultures for over a decade. The collective creates works that address complex eco-social issues through exhibitions, installations, publications, and video essays focused on energy, ecology, and the economy. By blending artistic investigation with scientific analysis, they highlight the material infrastructures, energy regimes, and value systems that shape contemporary society. Rooted in long-term reflection, these works serve as critical tools for reconfiguring our collective imagination. DISNOVATION.ORG has notably co-edited A Bestiary of the Anthropocene, an atlas of hybrid, human-made creatures, and The Pirate Book, an anthology dedicated to the ways cultural content is shared.
