"Threshold" is an audiovisual installation that combines digital audio recordings, various audio synthesis techniques, and an image generation process. This work creates an immersive experience that challenges the participant's visual and auditory perception by triggering cross-modal interactions between sound and light. The majority of the audio content consists of sounds that are usually imperceptible, such as the electromagnetic fields of computers or the vibrations of ventilation systems. Captured using innovative recording techniques, amplified, and computer-generated, these sounds blend with recordings and frequencies taken out of context, at the threshold of auditory perception, to create a rich sonic experience. The interactions created by moving through the space reveal different sound levels that the 3D visual content also suggests, creating a depth in the space that is constantly shifting and changing.
