Diane Boivin, the typographer and graphic designer behind the poster for this 11th edition of the ZERØ1 festival, invites you to immerse yourself in her "R&D department"—a playful term she uses for her creative workspace as an author-designer. Since finishing her studies, she has enjoyed developing the concept of the "Ouvroir de Lecture Potentielle" (Workshop of Potential Reading), inspired by the OULIPO literary movement. This approach explores typographic design and illustration through formal and narrative constraints: here, a "two-in-one poster" plays with your perception through an ambiguous, dual-reading face; there, a series of stratigraphies layers song lyrics; and elsewhere, a single poster contains two sets of signs within one image. OULEPO is a playground closely linked to literature, poetry, and cognitive science. It questions the notions of literary and typographic constraints, the process of reading, and, of course, the decoding of figures and texts. The process she offers extends the time spent reading, transforming us from passive passersby into active readers!
