Misunderstandings y Otredades explores our relationship with otherness through the lens of predictive technologies. This hybrid project merges theater and immersive installation, questioning how AI, robots, and chatbots are redefining our understanding of the future. The performance lecture, presented as part of the anti-symposium, offers a poetic monologue that traces the history of divinatory arts up to contemporary algorithms. With humor and depth, it asks: can we tame the unknowable? Are misunderstandings the key to authentic encounters, whether human or machine? Supported by European scientific and artistic institutions, this work extends Berenguer’s research into techno-ecological imaginaries. Between theatrical performance and an AI laboratory, Misunderstandings y Otredades transforms the stage into a space for radical dialogue with our algorithmic creations, where every interaction reveals as much about the machines as it does about ourselves.
