The mural merges elements of the past and the future, blending contemporary artistic techniques with technology. It incorporates augmented reality, which brings the pictorial creation to life. The goal of this mural is to echo the theme addressed by the ZERØ1 Festival: "Traces." This innovative work of art is the result of a collaboration between multidisciplinary students from universities within the EU CONEXUS network, including five students from the universities of La Rochelle, Zadar, and Bucharest. The exchange of ideas and perspectives between students from diverse backgrounds enriches the depth and creative scope of the project.
Coming from a nomadic lifestyle, Zoia discovered graffiti in the United Arab Emirates as a child, but only began practicing it upon her return to France as a teenager. She immediately connected with a culture that pulled her out of a chaotic path and became her lifeline. She quickly became a fixture in the French graffiti scene, joining various crews in Paris and beyond. Despite her multidisciplinary approach, she has a particular affinity for lettering, which she considers the foundation of being a "graffiti artist." Her commitment goes beyond aesthetics; she fervently defends a discipline whose technical skill she feels is undervalued and too often overlooked in the popular urban art landscape.
She soon became involved in numerous hip-hop events and exchanges across France and Europe, initially coordinating teams of graffiti artists and organizing projects that combined all aspects of hip-hop alongside various associations. In 2020, she joined the Fédération de l’Art Urbain to advance the standing, legal framework, and archiving of the field, and she continues to lead various advocacy efforts, such as the representation of women and the recognition of urban artists' rights.
